We are determined to emerge from this downturn as a strong and confident community by combining our skills, knowledge, resources, technologies and services to create a brighter future for Nottingham residents. We can play a key role in providing solutions and removing constraints that stand in the way of individuals and businesses fulfilling their true potential, resulting in positive benefits to the local economy. We believe that every young person possesses worthwhile talents and abilities and that the future of Nottingham depends largely on encouraging all routes to success.
Aims
Ø Improving the success rates of new start businesses, creating sustainable local employment opportunities and providing work experience opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
Ø Increasing understanding amongst SME’s of the environmental and economic benefits of deploying energy efficient, low carbon/more sustainable renewable energy technologies.
Ø Promoting healthy lifestyle choices to reduce health inequalities and preventable illnesses ensuring that the future workforce is fit and healthy.
Ø Reducing youth crime rates, providing challenges, tools and resources to unleash the hidden talent and potential of disadvantaged young people.
